Meet Dr. Paul

Dr. Paul D. Fotek, DMD, MS

Dr. Fotek is a native of Poland but grew up in Toronto, Canada. He attended the University of Toronto, and in 2002, he earned his Dental Degree in Poland, where he graduated in the top 5 percent of his class.

Dr. Fotek then completed his post-doctoral specialty training at the University of Michigan. In 2007, he received his Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science degree from the University of Michigan.

During his residency at the University of Michigan, Dr. Fotek was a Clinical and Surgical Instructor in the undergraduate dental clinic, worked as a periodontist at the VA Hospital, and was awarded a teaching fellowship which he completed at the end of his residency. He also held an appointment as a surgical instructor for General Dentists.

Dr. Fotek always strives to surpass his educational requirements. While at Michigan, he was trained to perform Wilckodontics®, obtained accreditation to perform IV sedation, and completed additional advanced Surgical Training at the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute. In 2007, he passed his examinations, became Board Certified, and received Diplomate certification in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery.  

Dr. Fotek’s active participation in local and international dental societies includes the American Board of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology, Florida Association of Periodontists, Holistic Dental Association, and International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. Dr. Fotek is also a past President of the Central Palm Beach County Dental Association.

Dr. Fotek’s areas of special interest and expertise are implant-related esthetics. However, despite his extensive focus on esthetic and clinical dentistry, Dr. Fotek emphasizes understanding the patient’s problem from a biological perspective and offers unconventional solutions to help support not only oral but overall health.

By understanding the biological principles, Dr. Fotek practices alternative and holistic approaches to accelerate the healing process and achieve health and harmony. After his day at the office, Dr. Fotek spends time with his two kids, Julia and Alex, and his wife, Ilona.
