Dr. Fotek, DMD, MS, Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology

Dr. Fotek is a highly accomplished dental professional whose journey spans continents and reflects a commitment to excellence in periodontal care. Born in Poland and raised in Toronto, Canada, he brings a diverse cultural perspective to his practice, enriching his patient interactions with empathy and understanding.

Dr. Fotek's academic journey began at the University of Toronto, where he laid the groundwork for his dental career. In 2002, he graduated from dental school in Poland, earning his degree with distinction as he ranked in the top 5 percent of his class.

After obtaining his dental degree, Dr. Fotek pursued post-doctoral specialty training at the University of Michigan. In 2007, he received both a Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science degree. His residency experience included serving as a Clinical and Surgical Instructor in the undergraduate dental clinic and providing care as a periodontist at the VA Hospital. His dedication to education was recognized with a teaching fellowship, and he also held an appointment as a surgical instructor for General Dentists.

A testament to his dedication and expertise, Dr. Fotek became double board certified by the American Board of Periodontology in both Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery. His commitment to professional development led him to obtain advanced training in accelerated orthodontics, achieve accreditation for IV sedation, and complete specialized surgical training at the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute.

Dr. Fotek's involvement in local, national, and international dental societies underscores his commitment to the field. He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Florida Association of Periodontists, and the American Board of Periodontology. His leadership skills are exemplified by his past presidency of the Central Palm Beach County Dental Association.

With a particular focus on implant-related esthetics, Dr. Fotek emphasizes a holistic approach to dental care, being one of the few specialists to offer zirconia options where most do not believe in it. He believes in understanding each patient's unique biological needs and employs innovative, alternative strategies to accelerate healing and promote overall health.
